CASTRO VALLEY -- Spokes-men for and against
cityhood kept their kid gloves on Monday night, drawing admiration from
many of the 65 people who crowded the campaign season's first debate.
Politicking could still take nasty twists
before voters decide Nov. 5 whether Castro Valley will remain unincorporated
or become a city, onlookers speculated at the Castro Valley Democratic
