Please join us for
a special meeting on Thursday, June 20 to welcome John Dutra to
Castro Valley & to hear more about what he and other legislators have
in the pipeline. Mr. Dutra was elected to the 20th assembly district in
1998, succeeding Liz Figueroa.
New reapportionment
boundaries enacted last year by the legislature as signed the 20th assembly
district a good chunk of Castro Valley, which roughly includes every thing
south of 580 & east of Fairview Ave. There is also a small chunk south
of Seaview Ave. & east of Santa Maria.
Last month's debate
on in corporation was well at tended and informative. The civility from
members of the audience and the speakers is something to applaud. It was
quite impressive & further under scores the fact that we are all still
going to be neigh-bors and continue interacting with one another no matter
how this ends up. Job well done on both sides.
The incorporation
initiative will be included along with candidates, local & state wide
initiatives when we hold our endorsement meeting in the fall. Stay tuned!
