Purpose of Citizens  for Castro Valley, Inc.
C4CV is registered with the State of California as a nonprofit public benefit corporation.  Its purpose is to promote the concept of local government control and self-determination.  This means locally elected decision makers, directly accountable to local citizens, with the ability and authority to directly and effectively deal with issues most important to the community -- such as a new post office and library, parking and traffic, land use, freeway access, signage -- and the overall protection and preservation of streets, trees, hills and canyons.

Membership Eligibility
Membership is available to anyone, 18 years of age or older, in two categories:  General Membership and Associate Membership. A General Member is defined as any person who is a resident of, or employed in or engaged in business in, Castro Valley, and wishes to promote and support responsible civic government for Castro Valley.  Associate Membership is available to those individuals who have no direct residential or business relationship, but desire to offer support to Citizens for Castro Valley, Inc. and its objectives. 

Membership Admission and Dues
To become a member please print out and complete this form, and mail to the above P.O. Box address.  Enclose a check for ($15 for single or $30 for your family) payable to Citizens for Castro Valley, Inc.   Your canceled check will serve as a receipt.  If you do not have a printer, or for some other reason you are unable to print out the form, send an email message to c4cv.org and a form will be sent to you. 

Memberships are good for one calendar year.  This initial membership is valid through December 31, 2002.  To renew your membership in 2003, $10 or $30 will be due in the month of January, 2003.  Dues provide funding for basic administrative needs, such as office supplies, postage, web site fee, rental of space to accommodate large meetings of the general membership, etc.
